5th Grade

Job Description: The teacher plans, organizes and presents information and instruction which helps students to learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their education and social development while complying with state, diocesan and school standards of education. The teacher will comply with the school mission, which is to “strive for a united community of academic excellence and stewardship by embracing the Gospel and carrying the light of Christ”.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Promote the Christian faith and Catholic beliefs.

  • Reflect a positive Christian attitude towards education and children

  • Develop and encourage proper learning habits in students

  • Identify and implement different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs

  • Use relevant technology to support instruction

  • Assign and grade student work, homework, tests and assignments; keep grade book (online) up to date

  • Display professionalism and keep confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

  • State certification
